NetEnt has another ace up its sleeve for the fans. The long-established online slots developer has created a sequel to their popular slot that could put players on their toes back in 2014 and beyond. We are talking about the new Wish Master Megaways slot that is supposed to launch across NetEnt casinos at the end of June! Let’s take a quick look at all the cool features that seasoned players should remember and approve.
For better or worse, the 2023 Wish Master has much of the same design as its predecessor. By adding Megaways, however, the number of pay-lines has expanded from 20 to up to 117,649 ways to win, allowing for wins of up to 27,018x bet. Likewise, instead of 5 reels, there are now 6 that can hold up to 9 regular symbols, of which 4 are high-paying, which are worth up to 6x the stake for 6-of-a-kind, and 5 low-paying ones, plus a Wild symbol thrown in the mix. NetEnt’s signature Avalanche mechanic is present too, which destroys all winning symbols for extra chances of winning, which is also typical for Megaways slots.
Just like in the original slot, Wish Master is all about the Scatter symbols that release one of many special features at random whenever you catch at least one:
- Extra Wild – transforms two highest paying symbols into Wilds.
- Wild Reel – transforms the reel with the Scatter into a wild reel.
- Multiplier – multiplies wins by x2 or x3. Can be activated simultaneously for a total multiplier of x6.
- Random Wild – drops 2 to 5 random Wilds onto the reels.
With each feature activation, you’ll get 5 free spins, not including the re-spins caused by Avalanches. And just like the good old times, a maximum of 3 Wish Master features can be active simultaneously! Note, however, that changing the bet size during any of the bonuses will deactivate them.
As to be expected from a game with such high win potential, it’s played with high volatility. The Wish Master Megaways has a varying RTP like many NetEnt slots before it, with the maximum set to 96.07%. The minimum stake in the game is €0.10, and the maximum bet is €4, which caters nicely to a broader group of players.
The Wish Master Megaways joins the studio’s other efforts at iconic slot revamps, such as Twin Spin Megaways, Divine Fortune Megaways, Gonzo’s Quest Megaways, and Fruit Shop Megaways. And now that the creator of Megaways, Big Time Gaming, is under the same corporate umbrella as NetEnt, the Evolution group, we can expect potentially even more such releases. This is evident by another rumoured slot for this year, Dead or Alive Megaways.
Other new NetEnt slots that you may wish to check out include Buster’s Bones with a cluster pays mechanic, which came out a few days ago, and Taco Fury Xxxtreme, which will be out on the 5th of May.
