Recent winner of the Innovation in RNG Casino Software award at the annual EGR B2B Awards, Yggdrasil is now ready to expand into more territories with one deal with GVC coming to life this summer and a new one with 888 Holdings that was just signed last week. And so Yggdrasil games are on their way to the Spanish market, alongside a firmer foothold in the UK, Italy and Denmark.
Having signed with GVC in February of this year, which is a parent company of bwin among others, the iGaming developer with Scandinavian roots made a promise to get in full compliance with Spanish requirements and have the content ready for Q2 2018. In their latest report they’ve reassured that an initial batch of games with hits such as Vikings Go Berzerk, Jungle Books, Vikings go Wild, Spiña Colada, Golden Fish Tank, Valley of the Gods, Beauty & the Beast, Winterberries, Jokerizer and Casino Zeppelin, has been approved by the authorities and are set to go online sometime during the summer.
Fans should rest assured that more games are to follow the launch in Spain. To make it easier to check what Yggdrasil is up to, including future releases and current progressive jackpots, you can also visit their new fan site at yggdrasilcasino.com which they proudly introduced last week.
On why it’s important for the company to be among the first in the regulated Spanish market commented Yggdrasil Gaming CCO Gibraltar Andrew Pegler: “Spain is one of Europe’s most exciting and fast-growing jurisdictions and we see lots of potential in the coming years. We look forward to showing operators how our platform and world-class content can help them power forward.”
In addition to that, the fast-growing developer has signed another behemoth that is an online gaming operator 888 Holdings plc. Thanks to the agreement which covers all joint regulated markets and the operator’s worldwide footprint, Yggdrasil will have a further opportunity to expand into the UK, Italy and Denmark, as well as Spain.
This will include their award-winning portfolio of video slots, including recent blockbuster release Vikings go to Hell and the very latest Tut’s Twister slot with walking Wilds, multipliers and re-spins.
Hila Klein, SVP, Head of Product Technologies at 888 added: “Yggdrasil’s rich content portfolio will be very welcomed aboard the 888 proposition as we continue to offer a market-leading casino experience to players worldwide. The games will complement our recent relaunch of 888 casino on our new proprietary platform.”
