Pragmatic Play has just launched its fourth live multiplier game in the Mega series. Mega Baccarat is a fast-paced game show that is played with a Mega Round that can activate Mega Multipliers of up to 100x. With the throw of dice by an automated shaker, the total payout can grow as high as 1,000x. You can try it today at Pragmatic live casinos alongside their other fresh live game, Snakes & Ladders Live. Read on to get a sneak peek at all the features.
The new Mega Baccarat strikes with its simple yet sleek UX that should be familiar to Pragmatic Play aficionados. Players can view statistics, including live bets, and track results with roadmaps, as we’d expect from their live card games. The female dealer is always dressed in a beautiful red dress to match the Asian theme of the rest of the studio’s live baccarat games. Still, the Mega title immediately stands out with its peacock background decoration that draws even more attention to the croupier.
As usual, the objective of this baccarat game is to get a hand that’s closest or equal to nine. Players have 12 seconds to bet between hands, with bets that range from 0.20 to 3,000 EUR. There are three main bets: Tie bet pays 8:1, Player 1:1 and Banker pay 0.95:1 if no multipliers are in play. Mega Baccarat offers two side bets, Player Pair and Banker Pair, that cover mixed pairs, coloured pairs and perfect pairs and pay 10:1.
Between each hand, an automated dice shaker will determine if the Mega Multiplier will be used for that round. If the outcome of rolled dice is either or nine, multipliers that appear in gold next to the five bets will be activated. Mega Multipliers range from 2x to 100x and as to be expected from the operator’s standpoint, higher multiples are allocated to the less-frequent, riskier bets, ie Pairs and Tie.
There is one caveat. Mega Baccarat has a commission or Mega fee that is 20% of the bet. It’s applied to every bet and is not returned on winning bets either. That, however, doesn’t hurt the overall RTP, which is the same as traditional baccarat or 98.79%. It’s the only cost to pay for the element of surprise.
Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, included this in a news statement: “Mega Baccarat is an exciting addition to our Live Casino portfolio, bringing a new dimension to our original Baccarat game, which remains a player favourite. At Pragmatic Play, we’re constantly expanding our Live Casino range with new premium tables, immersive gameshows, and classic titles with a twist.”
Other live games from Pragmatic Play’s Mega-series that you may want to try include:
- Mega Wheel – the studio’s first live game show, which launched in late 2020. Features a super-sized wheel with 54 multi-coloured segments and a maximum prize of 500x the bet.
- Mega Roulette – introduced in February 2021, this single-zero roulette will generate between 1—5 multipliers on straight-up bets on every spin, which range from 50 to 500x.
- Mega Sic Bo – initially released in 2020, Pragmatic Play has revamped the look and feel of this fast-paced game just a few months ago. “Everything from the studio’s physical design and the UI improvements have received meticulously crafted enhancements, all rendered in stunning quality to give players the most premium Live Casino experience,” said Irina Cornides.
