NetEnt Classic Now in Live Casinos – Introducing Dead or Alive Saloon by Evolution

Evolution has released many exciting new live casino games this year, including the Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette, Crazy Coin Flip, Gold Bar Roulette, Super Andar Bahar, and Monopoly Big Baller. To end the year on a high note, the studio is releasing a card game based on one of NetEnt’s most popular slots – it’s called Dead or Alive Saloon! It’s currently available exclusively at some select casinos like Casumo but will come out across other Evolution operators in less than two weeks on the 30th of November. Here’s what the game’s all about and why you would want to play it.

Just like the favourite slot, the Saloon game is rocking the Wild West theme and studio that is on par with the beauty of their other state-of-the-art games. In a very cinematic room, there is a dealer and a deck of 104 cards in total, including 52 playing cards and 52 bonus cards. The aim of the game is to have a bet on a playing card that comes up during each session. Similarly to Playtech’s new game show, The Greatest Cards Show, you can bet on individual cards, suits or all cards, so 52 bets in total per round. The betting range is between 0.10 and 250 credits. After the round is played, the shoe is passed onto another croupier in the background, not a machine, who will shuffle the deck of cards manually. Meanwhile, the dealer takes a deck of freshly shuffled cards to begin the next round, all of which takes place within half a minute.

As you may already see, there are some similarities with roulette, and more specifically, Evolution’s Lightning Roulette and the Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette that also launched this year. Likewise, what makes the game interesting is that there’s no limit to the bonus cards other than their quantity in a deck, but only one playing card will be revealed per game. So, the dealer will continue to pick cards until the first playing card. The game pays 19:1 or 20x if you bet on the right playing card, without any of the bonus multipliers, of which there are six types:

  • 3 Double cards – doubles the prize pot and existing multipliers.
  • 6 Bounty cards – triggers a Bounty Hunt bonus game where players shoot at a target to reveal an extra multiplier of up to 100x.
  • 20 Multipliers of x20
  • 19 Multipliers of x30
  • 3 Multipliers of 50x
  • 1 Multiplier of 100x.

The overall RTP of Dead or Alive Saloon is 97.02%, which is similar to Evolution’s live roulette tables. While the standard payout is only 20 units over 52 units of possible bets, it’s the abundance of multipliers that could make the game attractive for players who seek some variety. Whether it will turn out to be a popular game among the DoA slot fans is doubtful but yet to be seen, but the fact that it bears the franchise name is definitely good for PR, to say the least.
