Evolution’s new live game show, Funky Time, is on the horizon. That means it’s time to cue you in with the game’s rules. One of the studio’s biggest releases is all about the 70’s vibes, disco beats and groovy bonus games. That includes a unique digital money wheel that animates several random multipliers per round and four interactive bonus games with guaranteed multipliers: Bar, Stayin’ Alive, Disco and VIP Disco. The new Funky Time live game show will start launching at Evolution casinos on the 10th of May, with dedicated promotions, leaderboards and cashback offers, and should be available at most of their partner sites by the 24th of May. So, here’s the gist of the game.
Funky Time is built on the studio’s popular Crazy Time live game show concept. The objective in the main game is to predict the segment on which the wheel will stop after the spin. The Funky Time money wheel consists of 64 segments, all of which offer a win or an advancement in the game:
- Number 1 bet (28 segments) – The segments marked ‘1’. Pays 1:1. RTP 95.99%.
- Letter bet (24 segments) – The segments marked with the letters in words PLAY, FUNK and TIME (each word appears twice on the wheel). Pays 25:1. RTP 95.49%.
- Bonus game bet (12 segments) – 6 segments marked BAR, 2 segments marked STAYIN’ ALIVE, 3 segments marked DISCO and 1 segment marked VIP DISCO. Each pays out up to 10,000x or €500,000. RTP 95.98% – 95.38%.
When all bets are placed – from a total of 21 bets – the host will spin the wheel and generate random multipliers that will be assigned to equally random segments. Like with numbers and letters, you must have an active bet on one of the four bonuses to win it.
- Bar Bonus – enter a disco club’s bar and pick one of three cocktail glasses that a funky robot will start filling up with beverages and multipliers. When all multipliers are assigned randomly, the bartender will add one extra multiplier to a random glass that’s raffled separately. Any additional multipliers from the money wheel will also be applied on top of that!
- Stayin’ Alive Bonus – this lotto-style game features a ball drawing machine with 90 coloured balls and three 20-level multiplier ladders that increase up to 10,000x. The game guarantees a 5x multiplier and gives players 4 lives, after which they must select one of three team colours with the corresponding multiplier ladder. The winnings are paid out according to the level that the player team’s colour of choice reached on the multiplier ladder once the last STOP ball was drawn. Once again, any multipliers received during the original wheel spin will be added to this prize.
- Disco and VIP Disco Bonus – players will be taken to a disco floor with the host as a DJ and a virtual dancer, Mr Funky, in the middle. There are 37 squares in the regular Disco Bonus and 63 squares in the VIP Disco. The host will then spin a mini wheel with 8 possible directions which Mr Funky has to follow. Each square has either a regular win multiplier or a floor multiplier that doubles the values of five random regular multiplier squares. Each Bonus game ends whenever Mr Funky falls off the edge of the dance floor. What’s more, if the Disco or VIP Disco Bonus game segment received a multiplier during the initial wheel spin, each regular multiplier is multiplied by it before Mr Funky starts to dance.
