Switch Studios Joins Microgaming to Disrupt Table Games Market

Last month we had a closer look at Microgaming’s fourth exclusive games studio. Today, they’re announcing their fifth exclusive developer partnership with Switch Studios with the aim to disrupt the table games market with targeted content made for each operator. The first game to be released is Roulette and it’ll debut at the end of the month!

Switch Studios is a new independent game studio that will develop content exclusively for the online gaming supplier, Microgaming. It’s based in Ipswich, UK, which is a market town located about an hour to the east of London. The area is also known as “The Switch”, which helps to explain how the studio also got its name.

Unlike the developer’s other studios like Fortune Factory, Slingshot, Stormcraft or Triple Edge, Switch Studios has a clear focus on RNG-powered table and card games. The first game to launch is Roulette, which will feature realistic 3D wheel with lifelike ball behaviours, including features like racetrack betting, favourites and special bets. All of that will also be made available for play on mobile, including landscape and portrait modes.

In addition to that, the games will have customisable components tailored to the individual needs of each online casino. We are yet to see the difference across the casinos after the official launch at SiGMA on 28-30 November 2018. If you’d like to see a video teaser of the game now, then visit Switch Studios’ homepage for more details and a quick introduction of the company.

Here’s what Tom David, Head of Studio at Switch Studios, has to add: “We believe our background in the mobile, social and eGaming sectors puts us in an excellent position to bring innovation and style to the online table gaming sector. Our objective is to deliver the best selection of classic table games that players enjoy.”

A word from John Coleman, Microgaming CEO: “Bringing Switch Studios into the fold ensures we have a dedicated resource for innovating and enhancing our table games offering. The team have already demonstrated a facility for producing stylish and sophisticated casino games that are highly original and entertaining, and I am looking forward to developing this side of our range even further in the coming months.”

That said, we hope this will add that much-needed diversity to the existing portfolio of Microgaming table games. Besides players don’t need to wait long for the second game to arrive either as Blackjack is to be revealed in the coming months!
