Playtech Launches Live Casino Stud Poker

Playtech’s Casino Stud Poker live casino table is now available 24/ 7 network-wide following an exclusive period with Bet365. And just like Evolution Gaming, this Playtech live game also has an exclusive network jackpot which can be won with a £1 side bet and a Royal Flush.

This is the studio’s third live poker game next to Casino Hold’em and Three Card Brag. This version of the casino classic is played with an objective of getting a better 5 card poker hand than the dealer. Before any cards are dealt, you’ll need to place an ante bet, plus an optional 5+1 Bonus side bet or the Progressive Jackpot one, if you like to have a shot at the progressive prize pool. The former uses the players 5 cards and the dealers first up card, paying 7:1 or more for a Three of a Kind or better, regardless who wins the main hand.

When the cards are dealt face up for both the player and dealer, then a Call bet needs to be placed to continue. Note that the dealer needs to have an Ace or King or higher to play or else the Call bet will be returned and the ante paid at 1:1. If the dealer qualifies then wins whoever has a better hand, starting with a Three of a Kind that pays 3x the Call bet. Only the time will show if the progressive jackpot will outgrow Evolution’s which has already surpassed the 7-digit territory.

The live studio is located in Playtech’s flagship Eurolive facility in Riga, where the game is now streamed all day and night across a wide range of Playtech casinos. The pace of the game is rather fast and like every other live croupier table of theirs, it can be enjoyed in both portrait and landscape views on mobile too.
