Play’n GO Releases First Game of 2020 – Legacy of Dead

What promises to be their busiest year for game releases yet, Play’n GO has just released their first slot of 2020, and judging by its title it's very much aimed at the Book of Dead fanbase. It’s called Legacy of Dead and it’s the first game of 52 that are planned for the calendar year. Here’s a sneak peek at what it has to offer.

Legacy of Dead has a lot in common with the Rich Wilde slot from the visual perspective, including 5 low and 4 high-paying symbols that can produce wins of up to 500x the stake (on the same 10 lines and 5 reels). One of the biggest differences is that the Legacy slot has a Wild that's capable of producing the same 5000-coin wins or up to 200 coins when acting as a Scatter.

The most anticipated feature of this release, like any Book slot, is the Free Spins bonus. It can be triggered with 3 or more special Wild Scatters anywhere on the screen. For that, the game will award 8 initial bonus spins instead of 10, and one special Expanding Scatter that’ll be chosen from the existing paytable.

What takes Legacy of Dead to a new level is the fact that the free spins bonus can be re-triggered; and not only that but upon each re-trigger a new special expanding symbol will be chosen. By the end of the bonus, you can have up to 9 expanding symbols, meaning all symbols from the paytable will be able to expand and pay in non-consecutive positions like regular Scatters! This is something Book of Dead is not capable, although both games have the same 5,000x the total bet win potential.
