Last week, Evolution held its annual online event where they gave investors and fans alike a taste of what’s coming from the entire group. We already talked about Big Time Gaming’s big plans, so let’s now look at what the company for which they paid four times more in 2020, NetEnt, has planned for the year ahead.
Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution, led the NetEnt part of the presentation, where some very interesting titles were presented. Let’s start with the elephant in the room, NetEnt, whose game production has been pretty much on hold for more than a year. As Todd put emphasis on keeping the studio’s content original and exceptionally high quality, he talked about 5 exciting fresh online slots, among which is the new Knight Rider slot. It’s the only branded slot of the five and you can read more about it in our previous post, so you can be ready when it comes out very soon.
Cornelius is the next on NetEnt’s new slots list and it’s a cash collector game, a concept that is becoming increasingly popular during recent months. This cartoony slot will also feature extras like cash multipliers, which is a combo that we look forward to seeing in action.
The third slot that they will be launching in the first half of the year is Space Wars 2 Powerpoints. Based on a NetEnt’s classic, the sequel is the first one to have the new points concept that is deeply engraved into the game and its features. The game has a lot in common with today’s cluster slots and promises to deliver intense gameplay that progresses with each win, unlocking crazier features like multipliers and bonuses like free spins.
If you like cluster slots, then NetEnt’s Funk Master is the game to look forward to. This game will have a funky theme, more wilds than ever before, win magnifiers and a progressive free spins bonus that expands the reels upward. Also included is the feature buy that asks for a 125x bet to unlock the main bonus.
The last game which Todd announced last Tuesday is the most expensive slot possibly ever made. The Crazy Time of slots is called Super Stars and it features all the characters familiar to NetEnt fans: Gonzo from Gonzo’s Quest, Finn from Finn and the Swirly Spin, Brute from Space Wars, Lady Pig from Piggy Riches and even the Star from Starburst. Unfortunately, much of the game remains a secret and players will have to wait at least half a year to see it. In this all-action slot, players can experience wildly different outcomes from a single feature even after a thousand times.
That concluded the NetEnt roadmap for 2022, with more news and most likely, more games, to be announced later this year too. The first one of the pack, Knight Rider, is coming out in a bit over a week, on the 24th of February!
