Having given a quick presentation on Fan Tan, fun and easy Asian game with beads, Evolution is now rolling out their next live game show of the year called Cash or Crash. It’s one of their simplest ones yet, featuring a bingo or lottery machine similar to their Mega Ball game. It has a charismatic live host and a mission to climb as high up on the 20-step ladder as you can without getting a red ball. Do that with a golden ball and claim up to 50,000x your bet! Cash or Crash was released to select Evolution casinos like LeoVegas on 3 September 2021 and will be published on more sites in the near future.
The game show is set in a blimp (dirigible, eg Zeppelin) that flies in a virtual world as featured in their other popular game shows like Monopoly and Crazy Time. As the betting round commences, players have around 10 seconds to place their stake, only one stake that is, which can be anywhere between €0.20 to €10,000. No fancy side bets in this game. Once the bets are placed, the bingo machine will randomly and automatically select a ball from a total of 28 balls. Depending on the colour, the following will happen:
- 19 Green balls – let you advance for higher prizes.
- 8 Red balls – ends the game for the player (unless there is a Gold ball that protects players)
- 1 Gold ball – increases payouts from 18,000x to the maximum of 50,000x, gives an extra life in case the red ball is drawn.
Every time a green ball is drawn, players can take all the money, half of the money or continue playing. Here is how much you can expect to win if you continue playing (with and without the Gold ball):
- Level 1 – 1.2x
- Level 2 – 1.6x or 1.7x with the Gold ball
- Level 3 – 2x or 2.2x
- Level 4 – 2.7x or 3.1x
- Level 5 – 3.6x or 4x
- Level 6 – 5x or 5.6x
- Level 7 – 7.1x or 8x
- Level 8 – 10x or 10.5x
- Level 9 – 15x or 16x
- Level 10 – 21.5x or 24x
- Level 11 – 33x or 36x
- Level 12 – 54x or 62x
- Level 13 – 95x or 105x
- Level 14 – 160x or 175x
- Level 15 – 310x or 360x
- Level 16 – 550x or 760x
- Level 17 – 1,200x or 1,500x
- Level 18 – 2,900x or 4,000x
- Level 19 – 6,800x or 11,000x
- Level 20 – 18,000x or 50,000x.
As you take a higher risk with the green balls, the RTP will range between 99.59% and 94.51%, which is the blackjack territory and one of the highest across all live or table games.
In case you’re wondering what the best way around this game is, Evolution recommends the following strategy: Continue taking balls up until level 9 and then stop. If you get a Golden Ball, continue until a red ball is drawn. When a red ball is drawn after a gold ball, only continue if you are on Level 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15 and stop at the round after.
You can try and see if that Cash or Crash strategy works at select casinos already from today. Other highly anticipated Evolution live table games for this year include Lightning Blackjack, Bac Bo, and Golden Wealth Baccarat.
