Undoubtedly the biggest sports entertainment event this summer is the football World Cup championship in Russia. Given the rare opportunity to help you enjoy the best of both worlds, gaming and football, the Swedish developer is stepping up its live casino gaming with the introduction of a brand-new Live Sports Roulette. It’s launching on 14th July and here’s a quick look at what it comes with.
According to this week’s report from NetEnt, there are many World Cup-related product releases in the pipeline, one of which, called the World Cup Free Round Widget, has already been introduced for slots last week. Now, while we don’t know what they mean by that, we’ve been told a few things about the Live Sports Roulette.
Based on NetEnt’s fresh and state-of-the-art live gaming engine, the new roulette plays the same as a typical roulette, with the only exception being the scores and real-time updates of the football matches – such as sports feed showing a summary of ongoing game statistics, group tables and scheduled games – that will be displayed on the screen as well. Even the dealers will comment on the World Cup games, so you don’t miss a thing.
A lot of time has gone into the development of this product, which is going to be available on desktop as well as mobile on 14th June. What else will be available starting from that date is NetEnt’s Goal Smash Roulette promotion. It’s a competition that’s comprised of two parts, daily bonus giveaways and prize draws with a total prize pool of €75,000. It’ll run for a whole month until 15th July, with five chances of winning up to €25,000 in every one of the five stages. More on that in the official video teaser here.
Here’s what Henrik Fagerlund, Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, had to add: “Live Sports Roulette offers a truly immersive football experience, while players enjoy our live games.”
“With the World Cup just around the corner, it’s the perfect opportunity to introduce Goal Smash Roulette, giving players a chance to win daily prizes as well as staying on top of all the action during the tournament.”
This one-of-a-kind sports live roulette will be available to all operators on an opt-in basis during the World Cup. Chances are, most major casino brands will have it as well, most of which are featured on our NetEnt casinos page here with more than 200 full reviews.
That said, let us know if you think it’s a worthwhile idea, and if you are going to try your luck at the prize pool as well in the comments below.
