Mr Green, one of the most popular online casino brands, has announced an Evoke Gaming takeover in a new €7m ($8.3m) deal as announced today. This includes casino, poker, sports and bingo brands like Redbet, Vinnarum Casino, Bertil and Mama Mia Bingo.
According to the chief executive of Mr Green & Co., Per Norman: "We are pursuing our strategy of nurturing a small number of strong brands that can work globally. With Redbet and Mr Green, we have two immensely strong brands addressing different segments, and we see major potential to expand Redbet into our existing markets".
The plan is to expand Redbet in Mr Green's existing and future markets and to develop a truly global brand in line with its strong-performing sister casino. Relaunched in summer 2017, Redbet offers sportsbook, casino and poker, and has well-established itself in one of the biggest gaming markets in Europe: Sweden and the UK.
At the time being, Fredrik Staël von Holstein will remain as head of Redbet’s operations. And like Per Norman, he too is positive about the changes, commenting: "Evoke Gaming is on the threshold of a significant turnaround. Mr Green will give us the muscles to continue growing internationally in an effective manner".
That said, what we could see in the future is the expansion into more regulated markets, addition of exclusive live dealer table games like Mr Green, as well as exclusive video slots, more game providers, slot tournaments and new surprises in the promotions area.
Being one of the most respected casino brands for years (among our top 50 casinos based on FRank), here’s to hoping that Redbet’s integrity will remain with the player. You can read the full casino review here.
With the many takeovers and partnerships taking place among the major players, and Mr Green’s new strategy, we may soon hear more from the group and their ambitions.
With that in mind, how has your experience been with the Redbet casino so far? Do you think the change is for better or worse? Add your comments in the discussion below.
