This year’s EGR B2B Awards ceremony has come to an end. 37 category awards have been granted to iGaming companies worldwide. Some went home with one, others with a record-breaking five awards. Without further ado, here are some highlights of winners in the casino area.
At the event that took place on Tuesday 6 June 2017 at The Hurlingham Club in London, Playtech managed to outperform the competition in no less than five categories, including the Platform of the Year, and Multi-channel Supplier of the Year.
For the leading live gaming provider, Evolution, the ceremony has been a success as well. They managed to beat the fierce shortlist for the Live Casino Supplier award that also included NetEnt and Playtech. The recognition is that much sweeter as it’s their 8th such award in a row.
Here’s how Evolution Gaming’s Head of Key Account Management, Marcus Huber described the monumental event: “In an increasingly competitive Live Casino sector we have further underlined our leading position with a host of innovative new products. New Evolution games launched during this period included Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Baccarat Control Squeeze, Speed Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker with Progressive Jackpot and our Dream Catcher money wheel.”
He added: “There were also the first UK installations of our on-premise Dual Play Roulette at the prestigious Ritz Club and Hippodrome casinos in London, and another new studio — the first in Romania — at the Grand Casino Bucharest. In parallel we have made continual improvements to the mobile gaming experience, including the addition of portrait view to our Live Lobby and to Live Roulette.”
Continuing with rest of the results, last year’s slots provider of the year Yggdrasil Gaming has won the category award yet again. Here’s what the company’s CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said in a report: “Retaining this huge award shows we’re doing the right things – producing high-quality slots with outstanding graphics, supported by the most creative in-game promotional tools on the market, and all built on our solid and mobile friendly platform.”
“I’d like to thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this possible. We’ve got an absolutely brilliant team and retaining this award will only spur us on to work even harder to create the very best products for our customers.”
NetEnt celebrated the evening with just as many honours as last year too, claiming prizes for Innovation in RNG Casino Software, Mobile Supplier, and RNG Casino Supplier areas. However, this time the Innovation in Mobile prize went to Quickspin, who have done a remarkable job with their Achievements Engine.
Speaking of innovation and newcomers, the fast-growing games developer Red Tiger Gaming claimed the No. 1 spot for Innovation in Slots Provision, while Pragmatic Play was successful in one of the three nominations – Software Rising Star.
Finally, the Mobile Gaming Software prize went to Microgaming, who unfortunately didn’t improve their last year’s trophy count.
That’s it for this year’s achievements. For more winners, follow this link and make sure to leave your comments to add your thoughts to the 2017 EGR B2B Awards results as well.
