Casinos accepting players from Philippines
The Republic of the Philippines, in Southeast Asia, is considered to be the hottest place for remote gaming licenses right now. The main reason for this is because it’s located in the fastest growing iGaming market in the world – Asia. The Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP) and Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) are places to get one. While the former is government owned and controlled monopoly, the one you may be more interested in is located in the special economic zone.
As of now, the only Master Licensor of Interactive Gaming in the Cagayan Freeport is First Cagayan Leisure & Resort Corporation (FCLRC). The latter is owned by Leisure & Resorts World Corporation. All licensees must conduct their operations according to the Interactive Gaming Act (2003) and the Interactive Gaming Code of Practice that includes points regarding regulatory compliance, accountability, player protection, player privacy, data security, advertising and promotions and more.
There are two types of licenses to take into account. The Full License is for online casinos and sports book operators, while the Restrictive Interactive Gaming License is for sports betting companies only. Moreover, only offshore players are allowed to place bets. In addition to that, all CSEZFP licensees have to pay a special tax on their gross income, but are exempt from the rest national and local duties. Furthermore, there’s no need to have a Philippine company in order to get the appropriate license.
